Our Full Review

PCC has built one of the most loyal followings in pediatric technology, and after spending real time with the platform, we understand why. The company serves only pediatric practices, and that focus shows up in a hundred small decisions that a generalist vendor would never think to make.

Start with the growth charts, because they are the best in the business. That is not a throwaway compliment; pediatricians read growth curves dozens of times a day, and the quality of that rendering affects both clinical judgment and parent conversations. PCC's charts are clean, immediately readable, and support direct annotation on the curve itself, so when a growth dip coincides with a formula change or an illness, the explanation lives right there on the chart for every future visit. When one of us needed to walk an anxious mother through why her daughter's drop from the 50th to the 25th percentile was a normal channel shift rather than a warning sign, PCC's display did half the counseling work.

Charting overall feels designed by people who have sat through a four-hour block of well-child visits. Developmental screening integration with the ASQ and M-CHAT is smooth, with automatic scoring flowing into the note. Immunization tracking is strong for standard schedules, though we found complex catch-up scenarios occasionally needed manual verification against CDC guidance, a step OP's engine did not require.

Then there is the support, which deserves its own paragraph because PCC users will not stop telling you about it. Practices describe reaching actual knowledgeable humans who know their configuration and follow through. In an industry where support usually means a ticket number and a week of silence, this is a genuine differentiator, and for an independent practice without in-house IT it may be the deciding one.

The gaps mirror OP's: no ambient documentation, a portal that covers basics without any intelligent message handling, thinner school form libraries than OP, and limited mobile capability. PCC is not chasing the AI frontier. What it offers instead is a deeply competent pediatric foundation and a vendor relationship that feels like a partnership. For independent practices, that trade is often exactly right.
